Tehran Farsi Colorful and Cheerful Print, Persian Language Culture and Motifs, Home & Office Wall Decor
This is an original collage design which is inspired by my love for the capital of Iran, the city of Tehran. The elements incorporated in this colorful and cheerful composition are a combination of my own original photographs, Persian poetry, and other cutout elements taken from photographs, magazines and various other ephemera.
The name of the city is depicted in both English as well as in Farsi. In addition, a French language street sign from the city of Paris depicting 'Rue de Teheran' is also included as a means of balancing the English and Farsi.
A verse from the poetry of Iran's most famous poet, Ferdowsi, is included in the collage, layered over a colorful dome which features mosaic tiles and Persian designs.
There are elements of Iran's ancient past (portion of a Faravahar) as well as some more "modern" elements such as a vintage street map of Tehran from the 1950s, aged copper doorknobs from a Persian home, in addition to architectural elements (wall patterns, painted mosaic tiles and patterns, etc).
Taken together, this composition is meant to be a visually appealing representation of a celebration of some of the feelings associated with the city of Tehran as a place of culture, history and diversity and of a place which holds a special place in my heart.
Hang this print in a bedroom, entryway, living room, baby nursery or office - it is guaranteed to look great in any space!
