How an inspiration photo gave birth to a painting

In this #mood board, the theme is all about glamorous #parisian style. I found the photo of the luxurious apartment (far left) a while ago and it inspired me to create the acrylic painting featured in the mood board (center, with strokes of mauve/pink, aged gold & gray).

Other elements in this mood board are elements which remind me of Parisian luxury: #peonies (of course) as well as an ornate bright brass mirror, mauve velvet fabric and a beautiful classic column. Many of these elements are also depicted in the original inspiration photo.
